The astringency of the grease refers to the place where the grease in the meshing zone is squeezed out when the two teeth are engaged, but this is temporary. After the meshing, the grease will slowly return to the mesh before the next meshing. The condition is such that there is always grease in the meshing area of ​​the teeth, thereby avoiding direct contact of the meshing teeth; we call this characteristic of the grease astringent.
From the case where the grease is squeezed to the surface of the tooth and the edge of the tooth during the test, the convergence of CX4/375AU is better, and the convergence of NBU15, NBU52 and SL-FMG-2 is general, and the other few fats. The convergence is relatively poor, because the amount of grease accumulated on the edges of the teeth when using the test 1 is large and the grease is scooped out.
The effect of noise reduction of various greases was evaluated. An important role of lubrication is noise reduction. Therefore, this test also uses the noise reduction effect as an evaluation index for grease. A noise meter was used in this test to test the value of the noise of the gear when adding grease and without adding grease. Evaluation is now made from the difference in noise values.
Since the nine kinds of greases have undergone certain changes in the surrounding environment during the test, they were evaluated separately from each part. The noise reduction effects of the greases tested in the first part are arranged as follows from high to low: CX4/375AU>SL-FMG.NO.2>GA352P>FMGNO.2>FMG389. The fat tested in the second part The noise reduction effect is also arranged from high to low: KS64>NBU52>NBU15>EM50L.
Conclusion Through the above tests and analysis, it can be known that: (1) Grease can better lubricate small gears. However, most of the lubrication of gears is currently achieved by the use of lubricating oil. (2) With the use of small open gears in mechanical instruments, small household electrical appliances, robotic transmission joints and other equipment, the application of grease in the lubrication of small gears will be valued.
